Customizing Your Display


It's easy to change the appearance of Web pages.

To change fonts

  1. On the View menu, click Options.
  2. Click the General tab, if necessary.
  3. Click Font Settings, and then specify the font you want to use for each of the following:

    • Proportional Font is the font used for most text.
    • Fixed-Width Font is the font used for fixed-width text.

  4. Click OK.

To change the display of links

  1. On the View menu, click Options.
  2. Click the General Tab, if necessary.
  3. Under Links, specify the color of the following:

    • Visited is the color of hyperlinks to pages that you have already viewed.
    • Unvisited is the color of hyperlinks to pages that you have not viewed.

  4. Click OK.

To underline hypertext links

  1. On the View menu, click Options.
  2. Click the General tab, if necessary.
  3. Select the Underline Links check box.
  4. Click OK.

To specify custom colors

  1. On the View menu, click Options.
  2. Click the General tab, if necessary.
  3. Clear the Use Windows Colors check box, and then click the sample boxes to choose your text and background colors.
  4. Click OK.
